The Association of University Anesthesiologists is pleased to introduce three awards: Lifetime Achievement Award, Active Member of the Year Award, and Rising Star - Associate Member of the Year which is all managed by Membership Engagement Advisory Board.
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- This award honors the member that is recognized as a leader in academic anesthesiology for their outstanding, sustained contributions to the professions and AUA, along with exemplary practice and leadership.
- Active Member of the Year Award
- This award honors the member for their commitment to advancing academic anesthesiology and developing future scholars, educators, and leader in the field.
- Rising Star - Associate Member of the Year Award
- This award honors an associate member who has already made a significant impact in academic anesthesiology and shows promise as a future leader in the field.
The Association of University Anesthesiologists is excited to introduce two awards: Mentoring Award and IDEAL Award which is all managed by Leadership Advisory Board.
- Mentoring Award
- This award is given to the member for their dedication to mentoring and sponsoring faculty in anesthesiology. Nominations should detail the nominee's mentoring activities an their outcomes. Letters of support from mentees are required, along with evidence of sustained mentoring.
- IDEAL Award - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Acceptance, and Leadership Award
- This award is given to the member for their leadership in promoting diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging, with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes. Nominations should include evidence of impact on diversity and equity metrics and community service.

- Education Research Award
- This award is to acknowledge and recognize excellence in education research by an anesthesiologist. it aims to promote and inspire original research in education.
- Education Innovation Award
- This award is to acknowledge and recognize innovative advancements in medical education, such as policy changes, new pedagogical tools, or shifts in thinking.
